Aloo Chaat Recipe
Ingredients:
- 4 medium potatoes, boiled and cubed
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tomato, finely chopped
- 1 green chili, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
- 1/4 cup tamarind chutney
- 1/4 cup mint chutney
- 1/4 cup sev (crunchy chickpea noodles)
- Chaat masala, to taste
- Red chili powder, to taste
- Roasted cumin powder, to taste
- Salt, to taste
- Lemon juice, to taste
- Oil, for frying (optional)
Instructions:
- If you prefer crispy potatoes, heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the boiled and cubed potatoes and fry until they are golden brown and crispy. Drain excess oil on paper towels and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the fried or boiled potatoes, finely chopped onion, tomato, green chili, and coriander leaves.
- Add tamarind chutney and mint chutney to the bowl, according to your taste preference.
- Sprinkle chaat masala, red chili powder, roasted cumin powder, and salt over the mixture. Toss gently to coat all the ingredients evenly.
- Squeeze some fresh lemon juice over the Aloo Chaat for an extra tangy flavor.
- Transfer the Aloo Chaat to a serving dish or individual plates.
- Garnish the Aloo Chaat with sev (crunchy chickpea noodles) for added crunch and texture.
