πAloo Tikki Recipeπ
Ingredients:π
- 4 medium potatoes, boiled and mashedπ
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup corn flour or all-purpose flour
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1 teaspoon chaat masala
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- Salt, to taste
- Oil, for frying
- Fresh coriander leaves, chopped, for garnishing

- In a large mixing bowl, combine the boiled and mashed potatoes with breadcrumbs, corn flour or all-purpose flour, chopped onion, chopped green chilies, grated ginger, chaat masala, cumin powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well to form a dough-like consistency.
- Divide the mixture into equal-sized portions and shape each portion into a round tikki or patty.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Once the oil is hot, carefully place the tikkis in the pan, making sure not to overcrowd them.
- Fry the tikkis until they are golden brown and crispy on both sides, flipping them occasionally to ensure even cooking.
- Once the tikkis are cooked through and crisp, remove them from the pan and drain excess oil on paper towels.
- Garnish the Aloo Tikkis with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
- Serve hot Aloo Tikkis with green chutney, tamarind chutney, or yogurt, along with some chaat masala sprinkled on top for extra flavor!
