For Masala Sauce:🍒

- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 green chili, slit lengthwise
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves, for garnishing
Instructions:
For Chicken Tikka:
- In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, ground cumin, ground coriander, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder, and salt to make the marinade.
- Add chicken pieces to the marinade and mix well to coat them. Cover the bowl and let the chicken marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto skewers and place them on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Brush the chicken pieces with oil.
- Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are cooked through and slightly charred on the edges. Alternatively, you can grill the chicken skewers on a barbecue grill.
For Masala Sauce:
- Heat oil or ghee in a pan over medium heat.
- Add chopped onions to the pan and sauté until they turn golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and slit green chili. Sauté for a couple of minutes until the raw smell disappears.
- Add tomato puree to the pan. Cook until it thickens and the raw smell disappears.
- Add ground cumin, ground coriander, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder, and salt to the pan. Mix well to combine with the onions and tomatoes.
- Cook the masala sauce for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oil starts to separate from the mixture.
- Add heavy cream to the pan and mix well. Let the sauce simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
Assembling:
- Remove the chicken tikka from the skewers and add them to the masala sauce. Mix well to coat the chicken pieces with the sauce.
- Cook for another 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
- Garnish the Chicken Tikka Masala with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
- Serve hot Chicken Tikka Masala with naan bread, rice, or roti for a delicious and satisfying meal!🥡🥢🧂🥄🏺
