  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil

For Masala Sauce:🍒

  • 2 tablespoons oil or ghee
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 green chili, slit lengthwise
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves, for garnishing

Instructions:

For Chicken Tikka:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, ground cumin, ground coriander, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder, and salt to make the marinade.
  2. Add chicken pieces to the marinade and mix well to coat them. Cover the bowl and let the chicken marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight.
  3. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto skewers and place them on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Brush the chicken pieces with oil.
  4. Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are cooked through and slightly charred on the edges. Alternatively, you can grill the chicken skewers on a barbecue grill.

For Masala Sauce:

  1. Heat oil or ghee in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onions to the pan and sauté until they turn golden brown.
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste and slit green chili. Sauté for a couple of minutes until the raw smell disappears.
  4. Add tomato puree to the pan. Cook until it thickens and the raw smell disappears.
  5. Add ground cumin, ground coriander, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder, and salt to the pan. Mix well to combine with the onions and tomatoes.
  6. Cook the masala sauce for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oil starts to separate from the mixture.
  7. Add heavy cream to the pan and mix well. Let the sauce simmer for another 2-3 minutes.

Assembling:

  1. Remove the chicken tikka from the skewers and add them to the masala sauce. Mix well to coat the chicken pieces with the sauce.
  2. Cook for another 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  3. Garnish the Chicken Tikka Masala with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
  4. Serve hot Chicken Tikka Masala with naan bread, rice, or roti for a delicious and satisfying meal!🥡🥢🧂🥄🏺
