Ingredients:

For the dough:

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour 🌾

  • 250 grams minced meat (chicken, lamb, or beef) πŸ–

  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped 🌢️
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 🌿
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder 🌢️
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder 🌿
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala 🌿
  • Salt, to taste πŸ§‚
  • Fresh coriander leaves, chopped 🌿
  • Vegetable oil, for cooking 🌿

Instructions:

For the dough:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, vegetable oil, and salt.
  2. Gradually add water and knead the mixture into a soft and smooth dough.
  3. Cover the dough and let it rest for at least 30 minutes.

For the filling:

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onions to the pan and sautΓ© until they turn golden brown.
  3. Stir in ginger-garlic paste and chopped green chilies. SautΓ© for a minute.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes to the pan and cook until they are soft and mushy.
  5. Add minced meat to the pan along with turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt.
  6. Mix well and cook the keema filling until the meat is cooked through and the mixture is dry.
  7. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves and let the filling cool completely.

For assembling and cooking:

  1. Divide the rested dough into equal-sized balls and flatten them slightly.
  2. Roll out each dough ball into a small circle.
  3. Place a spoonful of the cooled keema filling in the center of each dough circle.
  4. Gather the edges of the dough circle and pinch them together to seal the filling inside.
  5. Flatten the stuffed dough ball and roll it out gently into a paratha.
  6. Heat a skillet or tawa over medium heat and place the rolled-out paratha on it.
  7. Cook the paratha on both sides, applying oil or ghee, until golden brown spots appear.
  8. Repeat the process with the remaining dough balls and filling to make more parathas.
  9. Serve the hot and delicious Keema Parathas with yogurt, pickles, or chutney.
