Keema Paratha Recipe π½οΈ
Ingredients:
For the dough:
- 2 cups whole wheat flour πΎ
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil πΏ
- Water, as needed π§
- Salt, to taste π§
For the filling:
- 250 grams minced meat (chicken, lamb, or beef) π
- 1 onion, finely chopped π§
- 2 tomatoes, finely chopped π
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste π§
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped πΆοΈ
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder πΏ
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder πΆοΈ
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder πΏ
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala πΏ
- Salt, to taste π§
- Fresh coriander leaves, chopped πΏ
- Vegetable oil, for cooking πΏ
Instructions:
For the dough:
- In a mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, vegetable oil, and salt.
- Gradually add water and knead the mixture into a soft and smooth dough.
- Cover the dough and let it rest for at least 30 minutes.
For the filling:
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add chopped onions to the pan and sautΓ© until they turn golden brown.
- Stir in ginger-garlic paste and chopped green chilies. SautΓ© for a minute.
- Add chopped tomatoes to the pan and cook until they are soft and mushy.
- Add minced meat to the pan along with turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt.
- Mix well and cook the keema filling until the meat is cooked through and the mixture is dry.
- Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves and let the filling cool completely.
For assembling and cooking:
- Divide the rested dough into equal-sized balls and flatten them slightly.
- Roll out each dough ball into a small circle.
- Place a spoonful of the cooled keema filling in the center of each dough circle.
- Gather the edges of the dough circle and pinch them together to seal the filling inside.
- Flatten the stuffed dough ball and roll it out gently into a paratha.
- Heat a skillet or tawa over medium heat and place the rolled-out paratha on it.
- Cook the paratha on both sides, applying oil or ghee, until golden brown spots appear.
- Repeat the process with the remaining dough balls and filling to make more parathas.
- Serve the hot and delicious Keema Parathas with yogurt, pickles, or chutney.
