Maine Lobster Bake Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 4 live lobsters (1 to 1 1/4 pounds each) 🦞
  • 8 small red potatoes, halved 🥔
  • 4 ears of corn, husked and halved 🌽
  • 1 lb littleneck clams, scrubbed 🐚
  • 1 lb mussels, scrubbed and debearded 🦪
  • 1 lb cooked chorizo sausage, sliced 🌭
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced 🧅
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced 🧄
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley 🌿
  • 1/4 cup melted butter, plus more for serving 🧈
  • Old Bay seasoning, to taste 🌶️
  • Salt and pepper, to taste 🧂
  • Lemon wedges, for serving 🍋

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the halved potatoes and cook for 10 minutes.
  3. Add the corn halves, clams, mussels, chorizo slices, onion slices, garlic, and chopped parsley to the pot.
  4. Cover the pot and steam for about 10 minutes, until the seafood is cooked and the vegetables are tender.
  5. Meanwhile, split the live lobsters in half lengthwise and remove the digestive tract. Brush the lobster meat with melted butter and sprinkle with Old Bay seasoning.
  6. Place the lobster halves on the preheated grill, shell side down, and grill for about 5 minutes, until the meat is cooked and opaque.
  7. Serve the Maine Lobster Bake hot, garnished with additional melted butter, salt, pepper, and lemon wedges on the side.
