Malai Paneer Recipe
Ingredients:
- 200 grams paneer, cut into cubes 🧀
- 1 cup heavy cream (malai) 🥛
- 1 onion, finely chopped 🧅
- 2 tomatoes, finely chopped 🍅
- 2 green chilies, slit lengthwise 🌶️
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste 🧄
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 🌿
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 🌿
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder 🌶️
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala 🌿
- Salt, to taste 🧂
- Fresh coriander leaves, chopped, for garnishing 🌿
- 2 tablespoons ghee or vegetable oil 🌿
Instructions:
- Heat ghee or vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add cumin seeds to the hot oil and let them splutter.
- Add finely chopped onions to the pan and sauté until they turn golden brown.
- Stir in ginger-garlic paste and slit green chilies. Sauté for another minute.
- Add chopped tomatoes to the pan and cook until they are soft and mushy.
- Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt to the pan. Mix well with the onion-tomato mixture.
- Pour in the heavy cream (malai) and stir until well combined with the masala.
- Cook the mixture for a few minutes until it thickens slightly.
- Add paneer cubes to the pan and gently stir to coat them with the creamy masala.
- Simmer the Malai Paneer for 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
- Garnish the Malai Paneer with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
- Serve the hot and creamy Malai Paneer with naan, roti, or rice.
