Ingredients:

  • 250 grams mushrooms, cleaned and sliced πŸ„

  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder 🌢️
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder 🌿
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala 🌿

  • 2 tablespoons ghee or vegetable oil 🌿

Instructions:

  1. Heat ghee or vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add cumin seeds to the hot oil and let them splutter.
  3. Add chopped green chilies and ginger-garlic paste to the pan. SautΓ© for a minute.
  4. Add thinly sliced onions and cook until they turn translucent.
  5. Stir in chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and mushy.
  6. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt to the pan. Mix well with the onion-tomato mixture.
  7. Add sliced mushrooms to the pan and mix well with the masala.
  8. Cover the pan and let the mushrooms cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  9. Once the mushrooms are cooked and the gravy thickens, add the separated onion layers to the pan.
  10. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  11. Garnish the Mushroom Do Pyaza with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
