🥘Mutton Curry Recipe🥘
Ingredients:🍽️
- 500 grams mutton, cut into pieces
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, finely chopped or pureed
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 2 green chilies, slit lengthwise
- 1/2 cup yogurt (curd), beaten
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves, for garnishing
- Oil, for cooking
Instructions:🍽️
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker or large pot over medium heat.
- Add cumin seeds to the hot oil and let them splutter.
- Add finely chopped onions to the pot and sauté until they turn golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and slit green chilies. Sauté for a couple of minutes until the raw smell disappears.
- Add chopped tomatoes or tomato puree to the pot. Cook until they turn soft and mushy.
- Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt to the pot. Mix well to combine with the onions and tomatoes.
- Add the mutton pieces to the pot and mix well to coat them with the spice mixture.
- Cook the mutton for a few minutes until it starts to brown slightly.
- Pour beaten yogurt (curd) into the pot. Mix well to combine with the mutton and spice mixture.
- Cover the pressure cooker or pot with a lid and cook the mutton until it is tender. If using a pressure cooker, cook for about 4-5 whistles or until the mutton is cooked through.
- Once the mutton is cooked, sprinkle garam masala powder over it. Mix well to incorporate.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
- Garnish the Mutton Curry with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
- Serve hot Mutton Curry with steamed rice or roti for a satisfying meal!
