Ingredients:

  • 200 grams paneer (Indian cottage cheese), cubed ๐Ÿง€
  • 2 tablespoons butter ๐Ÿงˆ
  • 1 onion, finely chopped ๐Ÿง…
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed ๐Ÿ…
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste ๐Ÿง„
  • 1 green chili, slit lengthwise ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder ๐ŸŒฟ
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder ๐ŸŒฟ
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala ๐ŸŒฟ
  • 1/2 teaspoon kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves) ๐ŸŒฟ
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream ๐Ÿฅ›
  • Salt, to taste ๐Ÿง‚
  • Fresh coriander leaves, chopped, for garnishing ๐ŸŒฟ

Instructions:

  1. Heat butter in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onions to the pan and sautรฉ until they turn golden brown.
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste and slit green chili to the pan. Sautรฉ for another minute.
  4. Add tomato puree to the pan and cook until the raw smell disappears and the oil separates from the masala.
  5. Add red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt to the pan. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add cubed paneer to the pan and mix gently to coat the paneer with the masala.
  7. Crush kasuri methi between your palms and sprinkle it over the paneer butter masala. Mix well.
  8. Pour heavy cream into the pan and stir until well combined. Let the paneer butter masala simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  9. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
  10. Garnish the paneer butter masala with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
  11. Serve the creamy and delicious Paneer Butter Masala hot with naan, roti, or rice!
