Paneer Butter Masala Recipe 🍽️
Ingredients:
- 200 grams paneer (Indian cottage cheese), cubed 🧀
- 2 tablespoons butter 🧈
- 1 onion, finely chopped 🧅
- 2 tomatoes, pureed 🍅
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste 🧄
- 1 green chili, slit lengthwise 🌶️
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder 🌶️
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder 🌿
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 🌿
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala 🌿
- 1/2 teaspoon kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves) 🌿
- 1/4 cup heavy cream 🥛
- Salt, to taste 🧂
- Fresh coriander leaves, chopped, for garnishing 🌿
Instructions:
- Heat butter in a pan over medium heat.
- Add chopped onions to the pan and sauté until they turn golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and slit green chili to the pan. Sauté for another minute.
- Add tomato puree to the pan and cook until the raw smell disappears and the oil separates from the masala.
- Add red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt to the pan. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add cubed paneer to the pan and mix gently to coat the paneer with the masala.
- Crush kasuri methi between your palms and sprinkle it over the paneer butter masala. Mix well.
- Pour heavy cream into the pan and stir until well combined. Let the paneer butter masala simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
- Garnish the paneer butter masala with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
- Serve the creamy and delicious Paneer Butter Masala hot with naan, roti, or rice!
