Paneer Jalfrezi Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 250g paneer, cubed
  • 2 onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 green chilies, slit lengthwise
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish 🍃

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter. 🍳
  2. Add sliced onions and sauté until they turn golden brown. 🧅
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Sauté for a minute until the raw smell disappears. 👃
  4. Toss in the chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn mushy and oil starts to separate. 🍅
  5. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for a couple of minutes. 🥄
  6. Now add the sliced bell peppers and cook for another 3-4 minutes until they are slightly tender. 🫑
  7. Gently add the cubed paneer and mix everything together, making sure the paneer is coated well with the masala. 🧀
  8. Sprinkle garam masala and give it a final stir. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes. ⏳
  9. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Your Paneer Jalfrezi is ready to serve! 🍽️
