Paneer Jalfrezi Recipe
Ingredients:
- 250g paneer, cubed
- 2 onions, thinly sliced
- 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 2 green chilies, slit lengthwise
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons oil
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Add sliced onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Sauté for a minute until the raw smell disappears.
- Toss in the chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn mushy and oil starts to separate.
- Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for a couple of minutes.
- Now add the sliced bell peppers and cook for another 3-4 minutes until they are slightly tender.
- Gently add the cubed paneer and mix everything together, making sure the paneer is coated well with the masala.
- Sprinkle garam masala and give it a final stir. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Your Paneer Jalfrezi is ready to serve!
