Paneer Makhanwala Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 250 grams paneer, cubed 🧀
  • 2 onions, finely chopped 🧅
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed 🍅
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste 🧄
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped 🌶️
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 🌿
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala 🌿
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 🌿
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder 🌿
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder 🌶️
  • Salt, to taste 🧂
  • 2 tablespoons butter 🧈
  • 1/4 cup cream 🥛
  • Fresh coriander leaves, chopped, for garnishing 🌿

Instructions:

  1. Heat butter in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  2. Add chopped onions to the pan and sauté until they turn golden brown.
  3. Stir in ginger-garlic paste and chopped green chili. Sauté for a minute until the raw smell disappears.
  4. Add tomato puree to the pan and cook until the rawness of the tomatoes is gone.
  5. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.
  6. Add cubed paneer to the pan and gently mix it with the masala.
  7. Cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing the paneer to absorb the flavors of the gravy.
  8. Pour in the cream and mix well. Let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
  9. Once done, garnish with chopped fresh coriander leaves.
  10. Serve hot with naan or rice.
