Shahi Korma Recipe

Shahi Korma Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams boneless chicken, cut into cubes ๐Ÿ—
  • 1/2 cup yogurt, whisked ๐Ÿฅ›
  • 1/4 cup cream ๐Ÿฅ›
  • 2 onions, finely sliced ๐Ÿง…
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed ๐Ÿ…
  • 2 tablespoons ghee or oil ๐ŸŒฟ
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste ๐Ÿง„
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds ๐ŸŒฟ
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala ๐ŸŒฟ
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder ๐ŸŒฟ
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder ๐ŸŒฟ
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ
  • Salt, to taste ๐Ÿง‚
  • 1/4 cup cashew nuts, soaked and ground into a paste ๐ŸŒฐ
  • 1/4 cup almonds, soaked and ground into a paste ๐ŸŒฐ
  • Saffron strands, soaked in warm milk ๐Ÿฅ›
  • Fresh coriander leaves, chopped, for garnishing ๐ŸŒฟ

Instructions:

  1. Heat ghee or oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  2. Add sliced onions to the pan and sautรฉ until they turn golden brown.
  3. Stir in ginger-garlic paste and cook until the raw smell disappears.
  4. Add tomato puree to the pan and cook until the oil separates from the masala.
  5. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
  6. Add whisked yogurt to the pan and cook until the masala thickens.
  7. Add chicken cubes to the pan and mix them with the masala.
  8. Cover and cook until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
  9. Stir in the ground cashew nut and almond paste, along with garam masala.
  10. Add cream to the pan and mix well. Let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
  11. Garnish with saffron-infused milk and chopped fresh coriander leaves.
  12. Serve hot with naan or rice.
