🍽️ Tandoori Chicken Recipe🍽️
Ingredients:🌶️
- 1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
- 2 tablespoons tandoori masala
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (for color)
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- Salt, to taste
- 2 tablespoons oil or melted butter
- Fresh coriander leaves and lemon wedges, for garnishing
Instructions:🥕
- In a large bowl, mix together yogurt, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, tandoori masala, ground cumin, ground coriander, smoked paprika, turmeric powder, and salt to form a marinade.
- Make deep cuts or slashes in the chicken pieces to allow the marinade to penetrate.
- Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, making sure they are well coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to marinate.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). If using a grill, preheat it to medium-high heat.
- If using an oven, line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. Arrange the marinated chicken pieces on the wire rack.
- If using a grill, grease the grill grates and arrange the chicken pieces directly on the grill.
- Brush the chicken pieces with oil or melted butter.
- Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or grill them for 10-15 minutes on each side, until they are cooked through and charred on the edges.
- Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oven or grill.
- Garnish the Tandoori Chicken with fresh coriander leaves and lemon wedges.
- Serve hot Tandoori Chicken with naan bread, rice, or salad, along with mint chutney and onion slices on the side!
