Tawa Paneer Recipe

Tawa Paneer Recipe 🍽️

Ingredients:

  • 250 grams paneer, cut into cubes 🧀
  • 1 onion, finely chopped 🧅
  • 1 tomato, finely chopped 🍅
  • 1 green bell pepper (capsicum), thinly sliced 🫑
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste 🧄
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped 🌶️
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 🌿
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder 🌿
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 🌿
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder 🌶️
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala 🌿
  • Salt, to taste 🧂
  • Fresh coriander leaves, chopped, for garnishing 🌿
  • Vegetable oil, for cooking 🌿

Instructions:

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large tawa or skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add cumin seeds to the hot oil and let them splutter.
  3. Add finely chopped onions to the tawa and sauté until they turn golden brown.
  4. Stir in ginger-garlic paste and chopped green chilies. Sauté for another minute.
  5. Add chopped tomatoes to the tawa and cook until they are soft and mushy.
  6. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt to the tawa. Mix well with the onion-tomato masala.
  7. Add thinly sliced green bell pepper (capsicum) to the tawa and sauté for a couple of minutes until slightly softened.
  8. Gently add the paneer cubes to the tawa and mix them with the masala and vegetables.
  9. Cook the paneer on the tawa for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it is heated through and coated evenly with the masala.
  10. Sprinkle garam masala over the paneer and mix well.
  11. Garnish the Tawa Paneer with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
  12. Serve the hot and aromatic Tawa Paneer immediately with naan, roti, or paratha.
